James Prince

James "Jim" Prince co-founded DCC and has served as its president and a member of the Board of Directors since its establishment, except for the period from 2020 to 2021. In his role, he oversees day-to-day operations, directs program design and implementation, and leads research and analysis. He also serves as a resource for local and international policymakers, analysts, academic institutions, international development organizations, and the media.

Jim has testified before the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs and served as a fact witness in two terrorism-financing cases. He has held fellowships with the American Assembly as a New Generation Fellow and with Trends Research & Advisory in Abu Dhabi as a Non-Resident Fellow focused on countering extremism.

In 2022–2023, Prince was the Conference Coordinator for the Atlantic Council's N7 Initiative Conference: Education & Coexistence in MENA. Hosted and convened with the support of the Kingdom of Morocco, the program brought together a select group of government and nongovernmental subject-matter experts from multinational organizations, the United States, Israel, and seven Arab states, to broaden regional integration.

Jim has participated in multinational election observation and monitoring missions in Cambodia, Iraq, the Palestinian Authority, and South Africa, was a New Generation Fellow with the American Assembly, and served on the Rampart Independent Review Panel investigating corruption in the LAPD. He speaks regularly at international forums, from the World Economic Forum to the Milken Institute Global Conference. His work has been widely cited in national and international media, including a feature on CBS's 60 Minutes. Additionally, he has authored more than 40 articles in publications such as The Christian Science Monitor, Current History, Detroit News, The Hill, Forbes, Haaretz, Houston Chronicle, Jerusalem Post, Jewish Journal, Newsday, San Francisco Chronicle, Star Tribune, Times of Israel, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Washington Times, and Worth.

Previously, Jim served as a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers' Financial Advisory Services, leading engagements in the U.S. and the Middle East. He has also worked as a senior professional staff member for the U.S. House Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere Affairs, as an assistant to Ambassador Richard Murphy at the Council on Foreign Relations, and as a foreign policy adviser (unpaid) to national and congressional campaigns. Jim has served on advisory boards for Cyberdissidents, De Novo Group, Labor Rights Foundation, Movements, UCLA's Government Relations Advisory Board, and SER Jobs for Progress.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master of Arts in National Security Policy from the Elliot School of International Affairs at George Washington University. He also studied at the American University in Cairo.
