Jessica Hahn Schwartz
DIRECTOR OF EXTERNAL AND CRISIS COMMUNICATIONSJessica directs DCC’s external and crisis communications, including to the media, government officials, and community leaders. She draws on more than 30 years of experience managing communications, community outreach, and public policy relations for nongovernmental organizations and businesses.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Jessica has led organizational and initiative communications strategy and practice for hundreds of emerging enterprises and established institutions, most notably NWEA, Aspen Institute, Knight Foundation, Girls Inc, Buckminster Fuller Institute, and NBC News.
Jessica specializes in shaping positioning and messaging, designing systems and structures, and training advocates and storytellers to effectively reach, influence, persuade, and engage their target audiences. Her work has helped realize tangible impact in advancing practices and policies that improve the lives of children and families, and the systems in which they learn and live.
